About Us

Brown Girls Museum Blog (BGMB) is two brown girls blogging about museums, a site to promote people of color in the public humanities as emerging professionals, as audience and as cultural creators. BGMB encourages people of color to make space for themselves in the museum, and engage in critical dialogue toward greater diversity and cultural equity. We write so that others cannot tell our story for us.

"I love putting my web design and social media skills to use in museum activism. I care about visitor experiences and community engagement, and about making Latino history and community visible."
